Sadepuutarhaksi (rain garden) kutsutaan kasvillisuuden peittämää, rakennettua viivytyspainannetta, jonka tarkoituksena on hidastaa sadeveden kulkeutumista pintavirtaamana. Sadepuutarhassa osa vedestä voidaan imeyttää ja suodattaa maakerrosten läpi. Pienessä määrin tapahtuu myös haihduntaa. Kaikki tämä tähtää maaperän vesitalouden parantamiseen ja laajemmassa mittakaavassa myös tulvahuippujen hallintaan.
